Threads rewards writing before production. You do not need a studio, a face-to-camera habit, or trending audio. You need a clear thought written plainly.
That is good news if you are 40+ with real experience. Experience reads well in text.
What the format favours
- Conversation over broadcasting
- Simple writing over clever writing
- Personality you can recognise across posts
- Authority shown through specifics, not titles
- Discovery through replies and repeat exposure
- Relationships that build over weeks, not one viral hit
Example
Weak: 'Consistency is key to growth.' Better: 'I posted 90 days in a row. The 71st post did more than the first 70 combined. Consistency is not magic — it is more chances.'
Exercise
Write one sentence describing something you know that took you at least five years to learn.
Implementation task
Read your last five posts. Mark each one: conversation, or broadcast?
